For commercial and industrial clients, we evaluate current operations and provide specific recommendations and protocols based on the project needs. Green Shell offers LEED consulting for new construction as well as retrofitting existing facilities as needed. Green Shell will work with owners and project managers toward their unique project needs to reduce the footprint on the environment in the most budget conscious and time efficient manner.

For residential clients, there are many areas that we can evaluate that will result in a cleaner environment, and an improved home energy efficiency. There are many sources of poor air quality and chemicals that can create a toxic environment in the home. Fortunately, with some preventative maintenance and simple, fundamental changes to the home, an improved quality of health and greater energy efficiency can be achieved.

This provides the advantage of endless resources for education and improvement towards a healthy environment and successful green building. Several of these qualifications are:

U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation. Green Shell Consulting, LLC is a proud member of the South Florida chapter.

The Indoor Air Quality Association, a group dedicated to promoting uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality industry.

LEED is a building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

A Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) investigates indoor air quality problems. For example, a CIEC can identify mold and moisture issues during a commercial investigation or a home inspection. A CIEC has verified knowledge of three or more disciplines related to indoor air quality, including HVAC, building science, microbial issues, industrial hygiene, lead-based paint and asbestos.
